GENDER, SEX & RELATIONSHIP DIVERSITY/ LGBTQIA+

WHAT IS GSRD?

Gender, sex and relationship diversity (GSRD) is a term used to describe the wide range of human experiences related to gender, sex and relationships. This includes people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or who may be polyamorous, kinky or any other identity that falls outside of traditional gender, sexuality & relationship norms.

LGBTQIA+ counselling can be a valuable resource for people who are exploring their gender identity, sexual orientation or relationship preferences. It can also be helpful if you are struggling with issues related to GSRD, such as discrimination, coming out, or family and relationship challenges.

In our sessions, you might choose to talk about:

  • Exploring your gender identity, sexual orientation or relationship preferences
  • Coming out to yourself or others
  • Dealing with discrimination or prejudice
  • Navigating relationships and intimacy
  • Coping with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, or trauma
  • Parenting or step-parenting as a GSRD person
  • Building self-esteem and confidence
  • Improving relationships with family and friends

I offer LGBTQIA+ support and will create a safe & affirming space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
