THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on people's lives, both physically and emotionally. Many people have experienced loss, grief, financial hardship, and social isolation. Covid anxiety has taken a toll on many people.

You can feel secure that I don’t find continuing precautions against the risk of infection irrational. With everything that has happened during the pandemic, increased anxiety and stress are reasonable responses, and I will take you and the pandemic seriously.

Here are some of the ways that counselling can help you to cope with the impact of the COVID pandemic:

  • Help you to understand your emotions. You may experience a range of emotions, such as fear, sadness, anger, and guilt, in response to the pandemic.
  • Help you to cope with loss and grief if you have lost a loved one to COVID-19, or if you have experienced other losses as a result of the pandemic.
  • Help you to manage COVID-related stress and anxiety.
  • Help you to adjust to new realities, as the pandemic has caused many changes to our lives, such as working from home, social distancing, and home-schooling.
  • Help you to maintain your relationships. For many, the pandemic has put a strain on relationships with family and friends.
